Water Quality Restoration
We are currently planning, designing and coordinating a water quality restoration project in the Rappahannock watershed. The project consists of habitat restoration for oak-shortleaf pine savannah, wetland and riparian communities; wildlife management; and stream restoration.
These activities will greatly enhance the available habitat for native species, remove nutrients and sediment from entering the waterway, and provide wildlife viewing and hunting opportunities.
This one project will derive funding or revenue from state and federal programs, private capital, ecological markets and private hunting leases. The result of our efforts will be an ecologically improved landscape, a net reduction in pollutants entering the Chesapeake Bay and a profitable enterprise for our client.
